Quint's Ominous Card Set
Today's magic item is a follow up to last week's magic item, this time in the form of the rare playing card deck, Quint's Ominous Card Set. This card set is quite industrious in its own way; not only can you cheat like crazy with this deck, but you can also use it as a tracking device by planting a card on a creature or object. This card deck will add a lot of flavor to your high magic settings when an NPC swindles the party using this tricky deck in a gambling game of cards. After all, if people could enchant a card deck to allow them such versatile control, many would take it. The hustle is far too good to pass up. We hope you put this magic item to good use, and we will see you next time!

Quint’s Ominous Card Set
Wondrous item, rare (requires attunement by a creature proficient with playing cards)
This magic playing card set is decorated with a motif of choppy ocean waters and sea predators. While a creature is attuned to the deck, it appears as nonmagical when targeted by the identify spell or other divination magic.
So long as you use this deck, you have advantage on any ability checks to perform card tricks, cheat at any game of cards, or to slip one or more cards from the deck onto another creature's person.
As long as they are within 60 feet of you, you know the value, suit and physical position of any card in the deck, and as a bonus action you can detect the direction and rough distance to any one card you name, so long as that card is within 1 mile of you.
As an action, you can magically swap the position of a card within 5 feet of you with any other card from the deck within 60 feet. Finally, you can instantly return all cards to the deck’s silk pouch whenever you choose (no action required).
Cards from the deck can be torn, burned, or otherwise damaged as normal, and a dispel magic spell of 5th level or higher cast on the deck suppresses all effects of the deck for 24 hours.
At dawn, any separated, damaged, or lost cards are fully repaired and safely returned to the deck’s silk pouch.
